Do you give free estimates?

Yes, estimates, advice, and consultations are always free.

Are deposits required?

Not necessarily, in many cases we get started on the planning and development process before requesting any deposit at all.  Each project is handled differently depending upon its size and scope.  Usually, payment is scheduled on a draw basis throughout the project.

How much will my construction project cost?

Every construction project is different.  We will start the project with a site visit and determine exactly what you want.  We will then spend a couple of days working up a formal estimate for you.

I want to add on to my house, but I’m not sure what the best way to do so is?

Godbold Construction starts every project with a consultation.  We will talk to you to get a good idea of what you are trying to achieve with your home and provide suggestions about how to best add square footage in order to increase functionality and value.

Do I need to hire my own architect and engineer to design my home or addition?

No, Godbold Construction works closely with

professional architects, engineers, and designers who will create your plans.  We manage this process as well as the submittal of the plans to the appropriate jurisdiction for permitting.

What kind of paperwork do I need to get together in order to start my project?

The very first thing that we will need is a copy of the survey of your property.  A survey is required for every real estate transaction so you should have one in your closing documents that you received when you purchased your property.  If you cannot find it, we can always order one from the survey company that we use.

If I travel frequently or have to be outside of the country for any length of time, is my construction project still possible?

Yes, we personally supervise our projects very closely.  As long as you can be contacted via phone, fax, or email, Godbold Construction will manage the construction process on its own. Occasionally, a Power of Attorney form may be required from the owner so that we can move forward with any paperwork that must be submitted to the jurisdiction where the project is located.
